Hey Guys-

i'm on the other side of the planet, its 1:00 thursday afternoon here, and its 9:00 wednesday night where you are, weird eh?This place is intense, people everwhere. i'm starting to get used to the smell but there are some places that stink rediculously bad, like a street market we went to the other day, there were these disgusting dried sea creatures there, and some absolutely disgusting looking foods, and lots of chicken feet. The good thing about this place is we probably won't eat at members houses very often so i don't need to worry about eating some of this stuff. Bad news is if i'm served something weird they will get really offended if i don't eat it. Right now i'm in the korean national library and emailing, its really nice.koreans speak soo fast, i just sit a listen in awe that they can understand each other. This last week was the craziest week of my life, i got really homesick the first few days, but i'm doing alot better now. I honestly don't think that there is a more completely backwards place in the world, its totally opposite than utah. So i was just like "what is going on" all last week. But like i said things are getting alot better, we have gotten 3 new investigators this week so far and hopefully a 4th tonight. Lessons are funny because i just sit and listen and elder fisher does all the talking. Elder fisher is a good guy, he's funny and works really hard. My other roomates elder seely and hirshe are pretty funny so it makes things easier to adjust. This week i'm going to try really hard to adjust to the food, i'm going to force myself to eat it, because once i learn to like the food life will be alot easier. Its just a little different than dutchoven or steak and potatoes. The people here are really friendly and for the most part pleasant. The church building we meet in is fantastic its brand new, really nice, and they even have beday toilets in the bathrooms haha. Thats a plus! This weekend is kinda screwy because its the koreans thankgiving on sunday so on saturday sunday and monday we can't really proselyte because it would be viewed as rude. Yesterday we had a combined district meeting and i got the package you sent finally, and it had been opened and the jerky was taken:( oh well life goes on, i'll just go eat some bu shin taang, haha which is dog soup... i hope i never eat it. I also got a really nice package from marcie and it had some good foods in it that i'm excited to eat. but i'm going to save it for a special occasion. to tell you the truth i haven't eaten much korean food since coming here because costco is in my area and thats got american food, so does one of the local grocery stores. This place is really smoggy but they have a good recycling program. and everyone smokes... all the time.So i'm doing well, give me a little to get used to the food then i'm sure i'll love it here. oh ya tell dad i need to use his card to buy american food sometimes.well i gotta go.
love ya miss ya
