Greetings From Korea

hey its me, how's it going?things are going well here, last week was good, i got the christmas packages you sent and one from g&g garr, so i got 5 packages in one day, it was pretty nuts.

on sunday a japanese member of the military branch invited us to dinner at her house with some of her friends her husband thats an american, and a korean friend of theirs that is not a member. it was quite the experience, they cooked japanese food for us. so we walked into the house and we look over at the coffee table and see this pot with veggies and meat in it that looked really simialiar to korean food we sit down to eat and the hand us our each individual bowl and an egg which i thought was hardboiled. next the tell us to crack the egg into the bowl, it was raw... elder hirsche and i look at each other kinda like "what is going on?", then the old japanese ladies started putting food into our bowl with raw egg in it and told us to start eating. it was a little shocking at first, but it turned out to be one of the best tasting things i've ever had! it was so good.the other good experience of the week were: sunday night we where at a house where the member was married to a nonmember thai lady named pat that i will baptize on saturday, this one is solid its not falling through. well here husband kevin hyde grew up in logan and went to logan high school and i told him mom went there and he said "oh really?" he busted out his year books and sure enough i found sherry bunnell as a sophomore and junior in high school, kevin was a year ahead of mom and one behind doreese. small world huh? mom, kevin was wondering who you hung out with, he says you look really familiar.

elder hirshe and i made a christmas card that i'm working on getting sent out. i'm staying warm the thermal bottoms you sent were way to big but i don't really need them as long as i have my coat on.i'm going to send those shoes back to, they are big. i'm goingto apologize right now for christmas, i'm not sending much home, there are no good souvenoirs to buy in my area, and i don't have time to go searching, sorry. but i'm going to try to send home pictures soon.

relax mom i'm doing fine. things here are good, i like a lot of the food now, i just needed some time to adjust. the reason i loose weight is cause i eat better and walk everywhere. and i like everything else here too, so relax.last week was good, thanksgiving was great, i ate way to much food. the grandys was fun they had alot of people over, they had a talent show, we did a skit for the talent show and ashley grandy and her sister whitney did a magic show, those were the highlights. after eating while we were cleaning up, sister grandy asked me to cut the rest of the turkey off the bird.... that was interesting haha.never done that before. but i think for the most part i got it all.the past few days were pretty warm but today is kinda cool, i think its going to get really cold again soon. i got the thanksgiving package yesterday, thank you, it will be great, i can't wait to use the food. i love stuffing.

i've been thinking alot lately what i am gonna do for a profession and i think i'm going to be a surgeon. or start my own skate shop like lip trix.last night we bought a christmas tree and we also decorated some trees at the church for the korean ward. it was fun, ashley came and brought us taco bell, she was going to help us with english class but we didn't have many students so the people not teaching went and decorated the trees. it was a good time.
