November 12, 2008

i have officially accepted the fact that i look like a bear... everyone at home would call me papa bear, everyone in the mtc would, all the missionaries here do(and i never told them that my nick name used to be that, they just decided it fits) and to top it of, last night after our english class one of the members from the korean ward out of no where says(in korean first then in broken english)" Elder Garr you look like bear" non of the other missionaries told her to say it, she just decided it on her own and all the other members in the room agreed. but... they did say i look like a teddy bear so maybe thats a good thing. haha i about died laughing when this took place it was rediculous.
Things are going well here, except for the kid that is supposed to get baptized this weekend disappeared, that makes 2 disappears for me in 2 months but i'm sure he'll show up. This last week was great we found alot of new people to teach. and they are all really cool so it should be a good next few weeks.times rediculous right now, it seems like i emailed home yesterday, time is going really fast.A week from saturday we find out if anyone is getting transferred, i hope not i really like the people in my house now, and elder hirsche is a champ. so hopefully i won't get transferred. plus we have 2 thanksgiving dinners lined up.
Ask dad if its alright if he takes some money from my account and i buy a new translator with it, i want a smaller one that can fit in my coat pocket. then i'll probably sell my other translator after i transfer the pictures to my new one. And if you want to put some cookie mixes in that package you are send and some deodorant, they don't sell it here, and i'm out, so if you could send some of that it would be great.well i gotta go, today i'm getting a haircut and tonight i'm going to eat at the grandys, and teach a couple people it should be good.
love elder garr
