today is my year mark, thats crazy it blows my mind. i don't feel like i've been gone this long, its really weird. today we went to the mission home so me and 2 elders in my district could take korean tests, i passed mine, and so did the other elders. after that we went to a place called kangnam its downtown seoul and went to a way good mexican restraunt it was expensive but amazing. today is really hot, it actually reminds me of how st george feels but a little more wet. its weird getting used to humidity. this week has gone by fast not much new going on, yesterday we ate a huge lunch of duck meat korean style, it was so good, you'd all be surprised how many things i just eat now, i even eat tomatoes occasionally.good news as i was typing we got a phone call from a man who wants to meet us tomorrow so we have a new investigator lined up for tomorrow. its always good to find more of them.its ok mom if you don't want to come to korea, i'd love for you to come of course but to be honest, i don't know how you'd like it, lots of strange food that is usually spicy, i love it and want to have a korean restraunt someday but i don't think mom would care for it. but if you want to come do it, its up to you i will understand if you don't feel like it.next week is transfers, i will probably get transferred i have been in my area for a very long time, i've been here for half of my mission so far.so next week i might have more news for you. oh and i weigh less than 200lbs now, and i'll send you a picture without my glasses i don't wear them often just somedays my eyes itch and if i wear my glasses then i don't itch my eyes as much.well i gotta go.
love ya'll

Hey guys-
haha brady is playing halo now eh? just make sure it doesn't get out of hand, alot of people let video games take over there life's and then they really have a hard time functioning in society because their lives are video games. well this last week was a good week we had zone conference yesterday and we had a missionary olympics at the olympic park in seoul. and then in the afternoon we had the usual training portion of zone conference it was fun and we had subway sandwiches for lunch they were amazing, i forgot how good sandwiches are.yes i am still losing weight but i think it is slowing down i just weighed myself and i'm like 200lbs even, thats crazy. i attached a picture from the temple last week, the two guys are just really tall, i'm not shorter i promise. the weather here is really humid, but its ok they have really cheap ice cream at the convenient stores, i bet thats why i don't seem to be dropping like crazy right now its the ice cream.next week pday i hit my year mark, that is so weird it seems like yesterday mom pour a pack of pepper in her mouth thinking it was salt at arby's before we went to the mtc. i already know they day approximately that i come home, its july 9th, that will probably be my last day. so i'm closing in quickly on less than a year left. well i don't have to much to report on so i'll talk to you next week.
thanks for all you do,

hey whats up?
i'm stoked that you guess saw elder hirsche again, i learned more from that kid than from pretty much anything else on my mission thus far, he's a champ. this week has been good, i've been really tired and maybe alittle on edge lately, mainly because i am trying my hardest to teach as much as week can and my mind is going non stop and its craziness, but its good too, i'm learning and thats good.this last week has been pretty good, we have gotten like six new investigators which is a few, alot more than i have seen in this area in one week, they are all really new so not much to say about them. one of the guys is the only korean adrenaline junkie i've ever met and he's hilarious. this weekend is the ward picnic. that should be fun.
last week i had to speak in church, talk about hard, the topic was "why is it important for regular members to do missionary work?" so that was interesting but i feel ok about it, i don't mind public speaking, it was kinda hard though in korean.i got the garments thanks. Oh thanks for the chips too, i can't wait to eat them.other than that not too much going on here, 2 weeks from today is my year mark. thats mind bottleing, it bottles my mind.its really humid here now, and i definately like dry heat more than humid heat. oh today we went to the temple then stopped and ate lunch with one of my converts in my first area he says hi.
talk to ya next week, tell everyone(grandpa&grandma, doresse, stacey)thanks for their letters and support

i can't believe you went to elder hirsches homecoming, i am jealous, i bet he did way good. i love that kid, he's a champ. and you met elder blatter haha, he makes me laugh, he reminds me of a seminary teacher, which is ok cause thats what he wants to be. and you met ashley, you guys just had a party and didn't invite me, thats rude haha.
well i can't remember if i told you but we had a surprise baptism last week the parents of those kids called us on tuesday last week and said they wanted to get baptized so they were on sunday night. it was way sweet, when i was taking pictures with the family the dad gave me a hug and said thanks in the most sincere way i've ever heard, and at the end of the baptismal service they asked the dad to share some words and he started crying it was amazing.
things here are good, being senior is definately a change, but i like it, one of the ward members asked me the other day if i was senior companion and i said yes, and then his wife said "finally" it was sweet, especially since she meant it because koreans don't really understand sarcasm. my new companion is good, he is from washington, there are 12 kids in his family, his favorite type of music is oldies like from the 1920's and he has constructed his own suit of armor. he's a good guy i can't believe school is almost out thats crazy, i have been gone for an entire school year already, and i'm less than a month away from my year mark thats nuts. things here are good, crazy, being senior companion is quite taxing. but i'm doing my best and my korean is getting better. we are trying to find some good people to teach now, so we walk alot.well talk to you next week

oh i almost forgot, the parents of those kids we baptized last week called us tuesday and said they prayed as a family and the parents wanted to talk to thebishop about baptism, so we gave them his phone number and they called him, after a little while they called us back and said that they want to get baptized as soon as possible, so sunday, the parents will be baptized. That is a miracle if i ever heard one. the dad had to quit drinking and smoking in like three weeks time. crazy eh?

April 26th -Marcie Comment
Hey Everybody!
Ashley Grandy met up with Court and some of the other elders a few weeks ago and was able to give him some treats that we sent to her. I sent some Girl Scout cookie Thin Mints... (the best!)She took a few pictures of all of the elders. I was shocked to see him. He has lost almost 70 pounds (which is like a 4th grader!) HA HA. I am so proud of him. He has had such a great attitude this whole time and is now LOVING the food and loves the Korean people. He says that he is still working on the language, but doesn't complain. This mission, I know has already changed his life for the better. Man... I love that kid! Keep those letters going out to him, I know every letter helps!
On behalf of Court... thanks for all your support.
